Pro Bowl Score : NFC Knocks Off AFC in an Epic Defensive Battle.The NFL does a lot of things right. They have the best television product of any of the major sports in this country. This should make for a very interesting matchup since their respective coaches will be in charge. On the other hand, the AFC just has more impact players like Darrelle Revis and Jamaal Charles, which both will be hard to neutralize.

As the NFL All-Star Game composition preview, New England Patriots got the most number of selections in the AFC with 8 football players. In the NFC, Atlanta Falcons got the most number with 9 players. This should make for a very interesting matchup since their respective coaches will be in charge.In last night's Pro Bowl, the NFC defeated the AFC 55-41. The NFC jumped out to a 42-0 lead early and held on late to win the game. Although, in one of the more ironic twists, it was a defensive player who was named the game's MVP, Washington CB DeAngelo Hall. He had an interception and forced a fumble, which he returned for a touchdown.

Every year it is one of the worst showcases of talent in sports. No one cares and you get some awful football as a result.But just when it appeared it would be the most one-sided game in Pro Bowl history, eclipsing the Joe Theismann-led 45-3 NFC rout of the AFC in 1984, the AFC scored three touchdowns in a row. The last came on the game's seventh turnover, when Devin Hester tried to hand the kickoff return to Hall, but the ball fell to the turf. The Jaguars’ Montell Owens scooped it up and ran it in 8 yards for the score to make it 42-21 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter.

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick started but played only the first quarter, completing 5 of 10 passes for 59 yards.Adrian Peterson rushed for 80 yards in 14 carries for the NFC, including a 14-yarder to set a Pro Bowl record with four career rushing touchdowns. Atlanta got good performances from Matt Ryan (9 of 13 for 118 yards and two touchdowns with an interception), Michael Turner (eight carries for 53 yards) and Roddy White (five catches for 69 yards).

SAG Awards: The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards paved the way for what could become a big night at the upcoming Academy Awards for The King's Speech.First the Colin Firth-lead drama beat out Black Swan and The Social Network for Best Picture. Then Firth won the Best Actor award which included a strong field of competitors such as Jeff Bridges in True Grit.

With these wins following identical wins at the Golden Globes, The King's Speech should be considered the favorite to walk away with Best Picture at the Academy Awards. A Screen Actors Guild Award is an accolade given by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) to recognize outstanding performances by its members. In this case, Triple H make his return at this show. Since two of the last three Rumbles were won by someone making a surprise return at this event and there has already been a Rumble won by Triple H making his return to the ring, I don't see Triple H winning this one.

Twenty-five years ago today, Concord, New Hampshire, was abuzz with excitement as teacher Christa McAuliffe was about to make history.Thousands of educators had applied to be the first teacher in space, but NASA chose McAuliffe, a 10th-grade social studies teacher at Concord High School.Micaela Pond, who was 17 and McAuliffe's neighbor at the time, remembers getting a ride home one day from the teacher turned astronaut. Where were you when the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded 25 years ago? I was sitting on the gym floor of my middle school watching the teacher turned astronaut head into space.

It was one of those moments that shook the world and marked the lives of just about everyone who witnessed it.At 11:39 AM EST on January 28, 1986, a generation of kids had the image of the Challenger explosion burned into their memories where it would forever rest with similar world jarring events. In less than an hour, the Aubrey Fitch, a guided-missile frigate returning from the Bahamas, turned around to begin search-and-rescue operations for the Challenger shuttle.

It was the first ship on the scene, he said.

"We were expecting the worst," he said. "We were expecting to find bodies." From sunrise to sunset, Nelson and four enlisted men under him took turns looking through the ship's "big eyes," two 20-power, nitrogen gas-filled binoculars. The heavy, 30-inch-long binoculars, mounted on stationary pedestals, were typically used to identify other ships at sea.

But 25 years ago, the "big eyes" on the Aubrey Fitch were used to find remnants of a shuttle launch gone wrong.Nelson searched for reflections in the water, sunlight hitting metal pieces from the space shuttle. The Aubrey Fitch recovered large fuselage panels, propulsion components, tiles and an orbiter landing gear among several tons of evidence collected.

"I was constantly looking," he said. "Once you see it, you stay right on it."

Archer is hysterically funny, bawdy actual situational comedy. What do I mean? I mean the writers take the time to set up a situation and make that the funny selling point, they don’t rely merely on off-color humor or pointless ranting. That is the charm of the show.

Tonight marks the return of Archer, which may just be the best animated spy action-comedy in the history of animated spy action-comedies.If you haven’t seen our Archer season 2 preview, the second season of Sterling Malory “Duchess” Archer’s misadventures comes with more witty banter, epic action, twisted and hilarious quotables and of course, 68% more sex than we saw last season (by my careful scientific estimate). And it all kicks off with the season 2 premiere, “Swiss Miss”.

This episode contained all the stuff I liked about Archer season one – great dialogue and banter; bawdy humor you almost feel demented for laughing at; plenty of animated sex appeal (because that IS a thing, apparently); and some cool spy action. Not only did “Swiss Miss” offer these familiar Archer tropes, it had them neatly ordered and polished to perfection.

“Swiss Miss” continued to split up screen time wisely between the characters, and the sub-plot with Malory and Pam ending up in a cringe-worthy threesome after too many “green Russians” (Absinthe + milk) was some hilariously gross stuff. Can’t wait to see if that running gag (Pam having a secret to hold over Malory) gets woven into the rest of season 2. I also enjoyed seeing Ray Gillette (voiced by show creator Adam Reed) being brought into principal fold of characters.

Archer Review Season 2 : Watch It

Archer is at its very best when it is deep into an episode and tosses in an off the wall twist. The great thing about animation is they can do this easily without blasting a hole in their special effects budget. The nice thing about Archer is that though they have that “cartoon” ability, they keep it pretty much within the scope of what real actors could manage.

Archer premieres tonight on FX at 10 PM EST. Some day soon America will be talking about this show. You might as well get there before it’s too crowded.

An MTA bus driver was shot in the face with a pellet gun late Tuesday, allegedly by a 25-year-old passenger who refused to pay his fare.The driver was behind the wheel of his bus at Main and 53rd streets when the incident occurred, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The suspect got into a dispute with the driver and exited the bus. But after the bus pulled away, he ran after it, officials said.

"While the bus operator was letting off passengers, the suspect approached the open door and fired three rounds from the pellet gun at him," according to a statement by Capt. Mike Parker. "One round struck the bus operator in the right cheek. The suspect then ran from the area."A major snowstorm pelting Northeast United States is responsible for a virtual shutdown of everything in cities like Boston, Philadelphia and New York, according to CNN.

Many schools and government offices will likely remain closed for the day as the region deals with the after-effects of the day-long snowstorm. Schools and administrative offices remained closed in Philadelphia, where a snow emergency was declared, and Washington, DC. Public transit was also shut down across the region.

Due to icy road conditions, Maryland officials urged people not to drive, saying that as many as 1,600 maintenance workers and 1,400 piece of equipment would be on the roads to combat the effects of the storm. Thousands were also reportedly left without electric power in parts of the region.Some areas experienced record snowfall, but the winter storm is expected to end today, according to the National Weather Service.

Tunisia Issues International Arrest Warrant For Ousted President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali (Videos)

Tunisia - Tunisia's government issued an international arrest warrant Wednesday for ousted President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali and six relatives, accusing him of taking money out of the North African nation illegally.Ben Ali, who fled to Saudi Arabia after being driven from power this month by violent protests, was also being charged with illegally acquiring real estate and other assets abroad, Justice Minister Lazhar Karoui Chebbi said.Interpol said its Tunis bureau issued a global alert seeking the arrest of Ben Ali and six family members, without specifying who. Chebbi said Ben Ali's wife, Leila, was among those wanted by Tunisian authorities.

Ben Ali, his wife and their clan have been widely accused of abusing their power to enrich themselves. In France, where family members are believed to have assets ranging from apartments to racehorses, Paris prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation into their holdings.French media have reported that Leila left the country with millions in gold, but Tunisia's new central bank governor, Mustapha Kamel Nabli, says no gold was taken from the bank's vaults during the final days of Ben Ali's regime.

The top U.S. diplomat for the Middle East, Jeffrey Feltman, wrapped up a three-day visit in Tunis on Wednesday, rejecting speculation that the United States was involved in Ben Ali's removal."This is a revolution by Tunisians for Tunisians, and the United States was not involved," Feltman told reporters, crediting the interim government for greater openness and steps toward political reform.

Tunisian government had contacted Interpol to detain former president Zein El Abiden Ben Ali, who fled to Saudi Arabia on Jan 15, amid anti-government protests in the streets of Tunis.The, 74 year old, Ben Ali is charged for property theft and money laundering, during his rule in Tunisia.

The former leader and his wife are being sought for "illegal acquisition" of assets and "illicit transfers of funds abroad," Lazhar Karoui Chebbi said, according to state - run TAP news agency.Ben Ali, who had been in power since 1987, fled to Saudi Arabia on Jan. 14 following mass protests against his government over unemployment, price hike and corruption.

Jimmy Buffett Hospitalized After Fall from Stage during Australia Concert

James William "Jimmy" Buffett (born December 25, 1946) is a singer, songwriter, author, businessman, and movie producer. He is best known for his music, which often portrays an "island escapism" lifestyle. Together with his Coral Reefer Band, Buffett's musical hits include "Margaritaville" (No. 234 on RIAA's list of "Songs of the Century"), and "Come Monday". He has a devoted base of fans known as "Parrotheads".

Aside from his career in music, Buffett is also a best-selling writer and is involved in two restaurant chains named after two of his best known songs, "Cheeseburger in Paradise" and "Margaritaville".

He owns the Margaritaville Cafe restaurant chain and co-developed the Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant concept with OSI Restaurant Partners (parent of Outback Steakhouse), which operates the chain under a licensing agreement with Buffett.
TMZ has confirmed the 64-year-old singer was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney after he crashed into a large gap in front of the stage during the show's finale at Hordern Pavilion.

An audience member in the front row tells TMZ it appeared Buffett was unconscious for about 5-10 minutes and that he had a huge gash on his head. Paramedics arrived 15 minutes later.Sean Fogarty, who was also front and center, tells TMZ Jimmy was doing an encore at the end of the concert called "Lovely Cruise" and walking along the edge of the stage when the lighting person splashed "a huge flash of light" along the stage, making it impossible to see and he fell. Fogarty says the next thing he knew he heard Buffett's head strike the metal on his way to the floor.
Dan Bateman, a concertgoer who witnessed the fall, said Buffet careened face first following a rendition of Lovely Cruise.

"We were in the 10th row and it looked like he did a massive face plant after his encore and pretty much didn't get up,'' Bateman told the paper. "We were told to leave the premises. No one really wanted to leave because everyone was anxious to know if he survived the fall.

Monitor Lizard : Found in California Neighborhood

5-foot Monitor Lizard:

Riverside California Animal services officers often get calls reporting "huge," monstrous reptiles, only to arrive and find an itty-bitty garden snake.The 5-foot Monitor lizard wandering around a condo complex in the city of Riverside was way bigger than animal control officer Jenny Selter could have imagined.

"She said she saw it and almost jumped back in her truck," said John Welsh, spokesman for Riverside County Animal Services. "The residents were freaking out because here's the Godzilla-like creature walking down the sidewalk."Jenny Shelter, Animal Control Office, was on the scene and couldn’t believe how monstrous this lizard was:

It started with an exotic frog named Uncle Mingo who one day hopped out an open door to a life of freedom. I was heartbroken, but not deterred. I would own another exotic pet, only I vowed to do better job taking care of the next one.

Monitor lizards have become a staple in the reptile pet trade. The most commonly kept monitors are the Savannah monitor and Acklin's monitor, due to their relatively small size, low cost, and relatively calm dispositions. Nile monitors, white throated monitors, water monitors, mangrove monitors, emerald tree monitors, black tree monitors, acanthurus monitors, quince monitors, crocodile monitors and komodo dragons have also been kept in captivity. Like all reptiles that are kept as pets, monitors need hiding places and an appropriate substrate.

Monitors also need a large water dish in which they can soak their entire bodies.In the wild, monitors will eat anything they can overpower, but crickets, superworms, and the occasional rodent make up most of the captive monitors' diet. Boiled eggs, silkworms, earthworms, and feeder fish can also be fed to them. However, due to their predatory nature and large size some monitors can be dangerous to keep as pets; adult Nile monitors and water monitors, for example can reach seven feet in length.

When I was in my teens (14?), I announced to my parents that I wanted to buy an iguana. They were (obviously) reticent to welcome such a creature in their home with open arms. I assured them that, Uncle Mingo notwithstanding, I’d take excellent care of it. I must have been awfully persuasive because the following day, my mom took me to Amazon Pets and I selected a cute little iguana. I named him Stan.

J'ai un urgent besoin de quelques jours de congé mais je sais que mon patron ne voudra pas me les donner.

J'ai alors pensé qu'en agissant comme une "folle", il me les accordera afin que je puisse me reposer.
Alors, je me suis suspendue au plafond, tête en bas, et j'ai fait de drôles de bruits.

Ma voisine de bureau (qui est blonde) me demande ce que je suis en train de faire.

Je lui dis que si je prétends être une ampoule électrique, le patron pensera que je suis folle et me les donnera ces jours de congé.

Quelques minutes plus tard, mon patron entre dans le bureau et demande :
- "Bon Dieu ! Mais qu'est-ce que tu fais là ?"

- "Je suis une ampoule électrique... "
Il me dit :
- "Il est clair que tu souffres d'un stress énorme. Retourne chez toi et repose-toi quelques jours"

Je me redresse, prends mes affaires et traverse le bureau en direction de la sortie..

C'est alors que ma voisine de bureau (toujours la blonde) me suit.

Le patron lui demande alors :
- "Eh toi! Où crois-tu aller comme ça ?"

Et elle lui répond :
- "Je retourne aussi à la maison. Je suis incapable de travailler dans le noir..." 

Pour le goûter du jour des enfants voici une recette piquée à "Chocolat à tous les étages". Ces biscuits sont très très bons, ils ont fait fureur et les enfants m'ont donné l'ordre d'en refaire rapidement! J'ai,juste changé les pépites de chocolat noir en chocolat blanc.

 INGREDIENTS

(pour 25 biscuits environ)

180 g de chocolat (pâtissier pour moi)

60 g de beurre

200 g de farine

40 g de sucre

2 oeufs

200 g de lait concentré sucré

1 pointe de vanille en poudre (ou 1 sachet de sucre vanillé)

1 cac de levure chimique

1 pincée de sel

200 g de pépites de chocolat (150 g de pépites de chocolat blanc pour moi)

sucre glace

 PREPARATION

Dans un récipient (kitchenaid pour moi), mélanger le sucre et les oeufs au fouet.

Faire fondre le beurre et le chocolat, bien lisser et l'ajouter au mélange oeuf/sucre et laisser reposer 5 min.

Ajouter le lait concentré, la farine, la levure, la vanille et la pincée de sel.

Incorporer les pépites.

Laisser la pâte "durcir" au frais pendant 2 h.

Former des boules de la taille d'une noix (la pâte a la consistance d'unetruffe au chocolat) , les rouler dans du sucre glace et les placer sur une plaque de cuisson recouverte de papier sulfurisé ou d'une feuille en silicone.

Les espacer suffisamment et les aplatir légèrement -la pâte gonfle et s'étale légèrement  à la cuisson).

Préchauffer le four à 160° et cuire les biscuits 10 à 13 minutes (jusqu'à ce qu'ils commencent à être fermes en surface.

Les laisser refroidir un peu puis les placer sur une grille et ensuite il ne vous reste plus qu'à les dévorer!
