Dead Cow : 200 Dead Cow Found In Wisconsin Field I Watch Full Video


TOWN OF STOCKTON,Wis :- An investigation is under way after 200 dead cows were found in a field in the Town of Stockton.Investigators with the Portage County Sheriff's Office said the owner of the cattle has been working with a local veterinarian and it's believed the animals died from the IBR/BVD virus. The virus can cause respiratory and reproductive problems.

Friday on a farm in Portage County, Wisconsin. The dead cows had to be removed with semi-trucks. The rest of the farm has not been quarantined, as officials say no threat is posed toward humans or other animals.

Dead cows was working with a local veterinarian, who initially believed a virus such as infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) or bovine virus diarrhea (BVD) could be the culprit, according to The Wausau Daily Herald. WSAW News reports that more recent updates have suggested pneumonia as the cause of the mass cow deaths, though such widespread cases of pneumonia are rare.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the death of 200 cows in Portage County.The 200 dead cattle were discovered on a farm field on 4th street in Amherst. Today, the bodies were taken out in semi-loads to be disposed of.
The Portage County Sheriff's Department says the animals died of a virus that causes respiratory and reproductive problems.

The owner has been working with a veterinarian, who couldn't be reached for comment today. Samples from the dead animals have been sent to Madison for testing.Investigators say there is no threat to people or other animals. The Portage County Humane Society is investigating the cow deaths.
