Jennifer Lopez Debuts Music Video & Photo 'On the Floor'

Jennifer Lopez On the Floor video with Pitbull and RedOne premiered on last night during the March 3 episode of “American Idol.” The song made its top ten debut landing at number 9 on on this week's Hot 100 chart.According to Billboard, “On the Floor” is the lead single off Lopez's April 19 album, “Love.” It is the first top ten song for Jenny from the block since “All I Have” in 2003.

The Jennifer Lopez “On the Floor” video was directed by Taj, choreographed by Frank Gatson, Jr. and stars Pitbull and RedOne rapping on the track.Lopez told MTV News, “I play one character where she kind of runs this party, acts like she's kind of bored with it, but at the same time is really loving it and loves this underground party dance culture. So I got to be wild and crazy, and at the same time I got to be sexy and sweet too.”Lopez stormed the Billboard Hot 100 on Thursday with the album's first single, 'On the Floor,' landing her in the top 10.



It's a position she's been in before, sure, but it's been a full eight years since she's seen that kind of love - and she's been engaged and/or married more than once since then.In a move that demonstrates the kind of genius marketing and branding Lopez - aka J.Lo - has employed during her entire career, the digital release for 'On the Floor' (featuring Pitbull) was synced with its video premiere on 'American Idol' on Thursday. American idol 2011 opened season 10 auditions january 19, 2011. With the new season came new judges. Joining returning judge randy jackson were actress, dancer, singer and record producer, jennifer lopez and singer, songwriter and lead vocalist of the rock band aerosmith, steven tyler.

Randy Jackson: No real surprises here, Randy was the Randy we’ve come to know and…well, know. Randy was upbeat, encouraging, and still friendly even when he had to crush the dreams of contestants.

Steven Tyler: Where do we begin? We figured Steven Tyler would be quirky and full-lipped, and he delivered on both counts. Tyler sang along with contestants, came off as condescending when he tried to be funny (as when he told a contestant he considered wearing the same plaid shorts) and consistently demonstrated his inability to understand the intricacies of English grammar, repeatedly saying, “You sing beautiful.”

Jennifer Lopez: By now, you’re probably familiar with Jennifer Lopez, but seeing her as an American Idol 2011 judge was a bit of a change. Although Lopez was generally friendly, she came off as harsh on several occasions, shouting “Stop!” at one contestant and telling another that she would have to change her appearance in order to further her career.

American Idol 2011 season 10 auditions were a lot different from auditions in the past. There was no harsh criticism and no disagreements between the judges, just a lot of fun. The addition of Lopez and Tyler to the 2011 judging panel seems to be a success.
