Ronald Lsley Honored At Soul Train Awards 2010, Set To Release First Solo Album


Ronald Isley honored at Soul Train Awards: The Isley Brothers great was released from a jail stint over tax evasion earlier this year.The legendary Ron Isley was honored with a tribute at the Soul Train Music Awards.
Ronald Isley was born on May 21, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio. His love of music was encouraged at early age, by his father, a professional vocalist, and his mother, a church pianist who also provided musical accompaniment for him and his brothers at their early performances.

The 68-year-old founder and front man of The Isley Brothers is releasing his first solo album on Tuesday, two days after being honored at the 2010 Soul Train Awards on Sunday.
Ronald Isley was born the third of six brothers (O’Kelly Isley, Jr., Rudolph Isley, Ronald, Vernon Isley, Ernie Isley, Marvin Isley) to Sallye Bernice (Bell) and O’Kelly Isley.

One was delighted to see many of today’s artists who have been inspired by his music from back in the day sing some of his many hits.Ronald Isley was honored last night at the 23rd Soul Train Awards two days before the release of his album. The awards show premiered on Centric and Black Entertainment Television at 9:00 p.m Nov. 28 from the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta.
Ronald Isley partnered with Chante Moore and for his throw back hit known as 'Cintagious' and now he is going to be even more popular with his own album. Ronald Isley recently got released from prison and he is trying very hard to establish his image as a great singer. Ronald Isley along with Anita Baker got Legend Awards at the Soul Train Awards Ceremony.

Ronald plans on releasing his new album Mr. I on November 30, 2010. The album will include the first single “Close to You”, featuring Lauryn Hill.
