Tokyo, Japan, March 10, 2011 /WNCNews/ – A series of offshore earthquake measuring above 6.0 on the Richter scale shook Japan on Thursday (March 10, 2011) morning, but no destructive tsunami threat.Vibration follow a 7.3 magnitude earthquake on Wednesday (March 9, 2011), which shook buildings in Tokyo and triggered a small tsunami but it did not cause casualties or damage to properties.
The last, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake that struck Japan at 06:24 local time, centered 400 kilometers (250 miles) northeast of Tokyo at a depth of nine kilometers below the shallow seabed Pacific, according to Japan Meteorological Agency. These vibrations triggered meteorological agency to issue a tsunami warning which was immediately revoked.
