Anderson Cooper - Attacked In Egypt Latest Photo & Videos ! Camera Rolls As Cooper,Crew Attecked By Mob In Egypt Breaking News

Anderson Cooper was attacked in Egypt by government supporters who turned on him and his crew Wednesday in the protest-torn streets of Cairo.When he then began to attack Cooper's crew, people in the crowd began to join in, at which point the team decided to leave the square. Cooper said that he and his crew had been trying to go to a neutral zone between the two groups."We never got that far," he said. "We were set upon by pro-Mubarak supporters punching us in the head." Cooper said that he and the crew tried to escape, but that the crowd only grew: "the crowd kept growing, kept throwing punches, kicks...suddenly a young man would look at you and punch you in the face."

ABC anchor Christian Amanpour was also accosted by angry demonstrators while reporting amid the chaos today.Ms Amanpour had calmly tried to speak to the people on the street but as she got closer to the mobs she was told: 'Don't go there, don't take your camera otherwise you will meet your destiny'.One angry man said to her: 'I want you to go from here. We hate you. We hate Americans'.the story today is not me being attacked, it's the melee that continues," Cooper told Show Tracker. "An angry mob surrounded us and followed us into the car, shouting that they hate America," said Amanpour. "They kicked in the door of the car and smashed the windshield of our, as we left."Egyptian state television reported at least one death from the protests on Wednesday, along with more than 400 people were injured. The clashes followed the last days of relative calm protests in Egypt, where anti-government protesters calling for Mubarak to step down.Mubarak, 82, said Tuesday that it will not interfere with elections scheduled in September, but the protests continued to ridicule the president and demand that he resign immediately.
