The new craze in the world of micro sized pets happens to be a pig of all things.
They are a mixture of breeds including Miniature Pot Bellied, Kune Kune, German Micro, Gloucester Old Spot and Tamworth . Teacup pigs are all the rage in Britain right now, these pets are small in size but command a high price tag. Teacup Pigs are sold for as much as £700 each, that coverts to about $1,125. These pocket sized porkers are much smaller than your standard farm pig, this teacup breed weighs 9 oz. (the size of a teacup) at birth.
At two years old, they are fully grown, weighing in at around 40-65 lbs and standing at only 12-16in in height. The trendy piglets are almost impossible to get hold of in England. Breeder, Jane Croft, has already received thousands of inquires from people eager to own one.
